Rocket League is a sequel to Psyonix's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, a 2008 video game for the PlayStation 3. Later updates for the game enabled the ability to modify core rules and added new game modes, including ones based on ice hockey and basketball. The game includes single-player and multiplayer modes that can be played both locally and online, including cross-platform play between all versions. There have been over 5 million sales across PC and PlayStation 4. These announcements come not long after the one millionth copy of everyone's favorite vehicle-driven soccer game was sold via Steam. More than that, Valve tagged on the announcement that anyone, not just Mac users, who pre-order any Steam hardware will receive a free copy of Rocket League and Portal 2. All Steam hardware will be officially released November 10th.
